This is a rare Lake Victorian based cichlid they prefer cave type setups so they can hide when they feel threaten, as well as breeding reasons. They grow to 12 cm and there colour flourishes more as they age they gained there natural blue shapes on the edges while a bright yellow colouration mixed with red is situated on the inner sides. They can become very agressive towards there tankmates, so make sure the tankmates are fishes who can look after themselves, like other types of Lake Victorian Ciclids. This cichlid is also known as Haplochromis Brownae. |
