The Flagtail Dianema Catfish is a very peaceful fish that is suitable for most community setup, they can even be kept with other Amazonian species like Tetras and even smaller fishes. They are best kept in a group of 3 to 6 this will lead to them to be more active and outgoing. Great addition to any tank and has a great personality. |

Omnivorous, and not very fussy eater, they will take pellets, small live and frozen foods such as bloodworms, brine shrimp and chopped eartworms. |
The leading few rays of the pectoral fins are thickened slightly in males. Also the mature females are likely to be rounder in the body than males. |
