Gender | Males and females can look similar, but the differences are the females have a slightly lighter coloured belly and a shorter pelvic fins compared to the males. Also males grow a little bit bigger then the females. |
Comments | Can be a little bit more aggressive towards other Melanochromis species due to the similar patterns, also Mainganos are a beautiful fish and can bring nice colours to the tank.
