Asian brackish water rivers and lagoons (India and Sri Lanka) |
Community Setups |
25 degrees |
Carnivorous, prefers to eat algae, brine shrimp, other crustaceans, tubifex, tablets, flakes, pellets. |
Males have a red edge on their anal dorsal and caudal fins and the males tend to have more brighter colours. |
These guys go great in a peaceful community tank, due to their peaceful behaviours. Chromides need to be kept in freshwater with a little bit of salt otherwise their colours will eventually fade and so will their appetite. |
