These guys are peaceful and cute looking fish, they bring a lot of colours to any community setup. They tend to go great with other Australian natives, especially Rainbowfishes. They are easy to look after but sometimes can be picky with their food. Also in another note they are usually shy and tend to hide when they are first put into a tank, give them a few days and they will swimming around and ruling the tank.

Feeding Omnivorous, can take flakes and pellets, but occasionally then can become picky, during this period they are best fed with Artemia, Tubifex, Daphnia. They also can take frozen foods.
Gender They both have different shape heads, the female is more pointed while the male has a more bigger and a small hump, he also has a different shape jaw. Also depending on the lights the male sometimes have a red glow in the eye. Another difference is during breeding time the female has a more stronger yellow in her tummy.
