The Comet variety has long pointed tails, there are also another variety similiar to the Comet but has a pointy tail and hangs downwards, they are known more as the veiltail. The Comet makes up most of the world goldfish sales and are usually sold as the common goldfish. The difference is the Comet has a slender body compare to those of a common Goldfish. They make perfect fish for beginners and are very hardy and easy to look after.
